Ways to stay healthy and fit in 2020

At the beginning of the lockdown, you probably had set objectives to eat healthily and work out regularly while staying home. Months later, the pandemic is in full swing, and many are finding staying healthy while at home a considerable challenge.

Maintaining a balanced diet

If you are working from home, you have probably found yourself eating and drinking more than usual, especially now that the kitchen is just feet away from your workspace. Get rid of junk food and reduce the intake of sugary drinks. Stay hydrated and avoid alcoholic drinks.

Unfortunately, merely getting a fitness band doesn’t mean the weight mystically vanishes; you have to go out there and burn off those calories.

Most fitness bands have a default step goal of 10,000 steps. On an average day, an adult human takes about 5,000 steps, but with life becoming more sedentary due to the lockdowns, the number of steps made is in the hundreds on average.

Sedentariness is found to disrupt human metabolism contributing to rising risks in certain types of cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and other conditions. Fitness gadgets can also track your food intake. Keep tabs on the amount of what goes in your mouth is of equal importance as keeping track of your physical activity. 

Stay physically active

Under normal circumstances, staying physically active is not usually the simplest thing. In the current state of things, it has become even tricky.
